Sooo who is EF?
EF (aka Education First) started in 1965 when a Swedish student, Bertil Hult, struggled with English in school but found he learned quickly while interning in London. That experience opened his eyes to the power of learning by doing—he dropped out of college and launched English immersion trips to the UK for Swedish students.
From there, EF grew fast—opening language schools across Europe and Asia in the ’70s, then adding cultural exchange programs and eventually global travel experiences.
By the ’80s and ’90s, EF expanded into the United States, launched group tours around the world, and even became the official language training provider for athletes and volunteers at multiple Olympic Games. Casual.
Today, EF is a global, family-run organization focused on language learning, travel, and cultural exchange, with programs in 100+ countries—all built on the idea that the best way to learn is by actually experiencing the world.

Flights
If you choose to add flights to your trip, we’ll book them for you—transportation to and from the airport and your accommodations included—and you can roll the cost into your monthly, interest-free payment plan.
