Mariangela Paone

Mariangela is the Production Specialist at EF Ultimate Break. She grew up in a small city in Abruzzo, on the east coast of Italy. Mariangela began her journey in travel thanks to a university program that placed her as an “Italian Student Companion” for an American study abroad program in Rome, in which she found herself deeply immersed in helping others adapt to life in Italy. That formative period sparked her passion for travel and education. She went on to join EF Ultimate Break as a Tour Director, guiding young travelers through unforgettable journeys across Europe. To this day, she still runs into familiar faces from those adventures—whether in cozy cafés in New York, hidden corners of Italy, or even in Switzerland, where she now lives. Outside of travel both for work and for pleasure, she's also dedicated to another kind of adventure: getting lost in the pages of Italian-American women’s autobiographies—which is also the topic of her PhD project.
